Maintaining and further developing the Getting Started document and the corresponding configuration files is a major undertaking. We simply do not have the capacity to track the differences between SER and OpenSER and update the documentation accordingly. Thus, the most rationale decision is to focus on SER only and just hope that OpenSER will continue to be able to use SER configuration files
